What the website checker does
It reads your robots.txt, finds your sitemap (from robots.txt or the usual /sitemap.xml address), and samples up to 20 pages spread across it, starting with your homepage. Each page gets the same checks as the single-page SEO checker.
You'll see site-wide problems at the top, like a missing sitemap, duplicate titles or pages blocked from Google, then every page sorted from most to fewest problems.
Why a sample and not every page?
Reading hundreds of pages takes minutes and puts load on your server. A spread-out sample of 20 pages usually reveals the same template problems, because most pages share the same layout.
