Schema markup generator

Pick a type, fill in the form and copy ready-to-paste JSON-LD. It's checked against Google's rules as you type.

Free, no sign-up. The code is built in your browser: nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to add schema markup to your site

Choose the type that matches the page: Product for a product page, Article for a blog post, Local Business for a shop or service with an address, Event for a dated event, Video for a page built around a video, Organization for your homepage, Breadcrumb for almost any page below the homepage.

Fill in the fields. Required ones are marked with a red star. Copy the code and paste it into the page's HTML, ideally in the <head>. On WordPress, Shopify, Wix and similar platforms, use the theme's custom code field or a header code app. Then check the live page with the free schema markup checker.

Only mark up what's on the page

Structured data must describe content people can see. Ratings need real reviews on the page, prices must match the price shown, and event dates must be the real dates. Markup that doesn't match can lose rich results for the whole site.

Why there's no FAQ or How-to option

Google stopped showing How-to rich results in 2023 and FAQ rich results on May 7, 2026. That markup no longer changes how your result looks, so this generator focuses on types that still do.

Questions

Is JSON-LD better than microdata?

Google recommends JSON-LD. It sits in one block, separate from your HTML, so it's easier to add and keep correct.

Will schema markup improve my rankings?

Not directly. It helps Google understand the page and can earn rich results, which often get more clicks.

Can I use more than one type on a page?

Yes. A product page can have Product and Breadcrumb markup. Add each as its own block.

Is anything I type sent to Clarnic?

No. The code is built in your browser and nothing you type leaves your computer.
