How to make your llms.txt
Enter your website and click Fill from my site. Clarnic reads your homepage and up to 19 pages from your sitemap, and uses their titles and descriptions to fill in the name, summary and links. Then trim it to the pages that matter most and add short notes.
Save it as llms.txt in the top folder of your site, so it opens at yourwebsite.com/llms.txt, and check it with the llms.txt checker.
What to put in it
Keep it short: the pages that best explain what you offer, like product or service pages, pricing, documentation and help articles. Write the summary as one clear sentence. Put nice-to-have pages under a section called Optional.
Will it help my rankings?
Not in Google, which has said it doesn't use llms.txt. It's a small, low-cost way to help AI tools that do read it. Good content and an open robots.txt matter far more for showing up in AI answers.
